Evelyn was a school teacher, married Bernard Rose in 1942 and lived in Liverpool (which made me a Scouser!). For those not familiar with the term, Scousers (inhabitants of Liverpool) have a certain reputation shall we say!
Moved to Harpenden in Hertfordshire just after my sister was born.
